I just uploaded a brand new vlog in which I went to the Yankees game with friends, the library, and then did random things after I came home from a party (aka my dog and I scared each other – lols). But it got me thinking about vlogging. It just might be my favorite type of video to post, and it seems that my viewers really enjoy them, but it is just so complicated.
As much as I love to record all of the details of my life for you all to see, I simply cannot. It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t respect the privacy of my friends and all the people in my life. I used to whip out of my camera when I was with my friends and thought there was something wrong with them for being awkward shy, and uncomfortable on camera. How could they not absolutely love this? It wasn’t until recently that I realized the camera and Youtube and filming just isn’t something everyone enjoys. After all, if it was everyone would have their own YouTube channel.
This is not to say, however, that every single one of my friends is uncomfortable with the idea of being in a vlog. Carly, for instance, is great on camera, and if it wasn’t for her I don’t even think I would have a YouTube channel today. (She had a YouTube channel before I ever did, but we can get into that another day.)
But yes…I just wanted to kind of explain vlogging and why it’s not as easy a task as you all probably think. Daily vlogs are probably my most requested video to make and I didn’t want you guys to think that I was just blowing off your video request for no reason.
With that being said, I do definitely want to continue vlogging. I mean, Molly is always up for a good vlog. (;
