I have eaten an egg white omelette for breakfast every single day for the past couple of months. It became my favorite thing in the entire world, and of course, was super healthy. Over the last few days, however, I have noticed that I get a terrible stomachache after eating my breakfast, and each day it seems to be getting worse and worse. I know for a fact that it has nothing to do with the grapes or fruit I eat with the breakfast because yesterday I eliminated them and still felt terribly sick.
After researching the topic, I found out that there is a thing called egg white intolerance, which basically means your stomach doesn’t tolerate egg whites too well. I just don’t understand why this would happen all of a sudden. The only thing I can think of is that I have consumed too many egg whites in the past couple of months and now my stomach is like, Yo. Give me something else. I’m done with these eggs. (Yeah, my stomach talks.)
I think it’s best if I lay off the eggs for at least a few days, but now I’m completely clueless as to what I should eat for breakfast. Yogurt would be a good option, but I usually have that for lunch and I don’t want to consume too much of it because it is high in sugar…And cereal is not an option for me anymore because (a) the milk sometimes upsets my stomach and (b) I don’t really eat heavily processed foods. (All cereal is basically 100% man-made.) Smoothies seem to be another popular breakfast option, but I would rather have a meal that I can physically chew. I don’t find drinking meals to be as satisfying.
This leaves me at square 1. I have no clue what to eat for breakfast!!! If any of you guys have any healthy breakfast ideas, leave a comment! (Note: I don’t find granola or any processed foods to be healthy!) I just don’t think anything can be as natural as eggs.
