13 grams of protein. 10 grams of fiber.
Even if you know absolutely nothing about health/nutrition, you should at least be able to recognize that this is AMAZING.
As of lately, my stomach has not been able to handle eggs and dairy, which absolutely sucks. Goodbye to my yogurt for lunch, adios to the cheese in my salad at dinner, and sayonara to the scrambled egg whites and cheese I would have every morning.
My breakfast was seriously the best part of my day. I added peppers to the mix and ate fruit on the side and ugh – it was just perfect.
All hope was lost of finding an equally nutritious and delicious breakfast…until I found Kashi’s Go Lean cereal. I obviously eat it without milk, but it still tastes amazing.
The problem with a lot of breakfast cereal is that they contain empty calories that won’t actually fill you up, nor will they give you any nutritional benefits. Even cheerios, which is a great cereal, doesn’t compare to Go Lean because while it contains less calories (100 compared to 160), it only contains 3g of fiber and 3g of protein.
Fiber, for those of you who don’t know, is what’s going to make you feel full. It’s what’s going to make you not want to eat a cheeseburger an hour after breakfast. It keeps you satisfied and it keeps you in check.
It’s also a good idea to have your carbs as early in the day as possible so that your body can burn them. Eating a carb-filled dinner, for example, isn’t the best idea because your body doesn’t have as much time to burn it off.
So…if you’re in the market for a new breakfast/cereal, I really would consider this one!
