About 2 weeks, I made the harmless decision to watch the first episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I have heard so much about the Real Housewives franchise, but never had enough interest to see what it was all about. I mean, why would I want to see a bunch of rich, stuck-up women living their lives? No thanks.
Fast-forward 2 weeks and I am obsessed. I’m already on season 2 (no shame) and it is just. so. good. I have always been so intrigued by the lives of others. It doesn’t matter who you are – a celebrity, a scientist, or a sous-chef – I’m interested. As a matter of fact, even when I meet people for the first time, I always tend to bombard them with random questions. I just like to know things.
Anyway, The Real Housewives is no exception, and it’s actually addicting. A lot of people watch this show with judging eyes, but I honestly don’t. Rather than view these women as money-hungry, egotistical bimbos, I see them as humans. And even though they’re dripping in diamonds, they’re not any happier than you or me. As a matter of fact, it seems like they are less happy and have even more problems. It’s just so interesting to see someone live an entirely different lifestyle than you. And that’s why, in general, I love reality TV and autobiographies so much. It’s just so interesting.
So…if you’re looking for a new show to watch, give this a try. Yeah, maybe you’ll look like a bit of a bimbo for watching The Real Housewives, but who cares!
